Mentoring

I am passionate about training undergraduate students in ecological research. My approach to mentoring focuses on guiding students in critical thinking and logical reasoning. I also aim to help students gain natural history and other contextual knowledge about the system under study, which is essential to designing and conducting insightful research. Additionally, I aim to train students in methodological rigor, prudent data management, and effective communication of results.

My goal in mentoring is to train students not just to be excellent scientists, but also thoughtful leaders and changemakers. No matter what career students may end up pursuing, I believe scientific training imparts critical thinking skills that empower individuals to build a better world through their work.

If you are an undergraduate student and are interested in my work, please feel free to contact me to discuss potential research opportunities.
